Dreams are pathways to self-discovery, with this we start by
applauding the feat Mr. Uche Okafor – Project Director (Queen of Emerald
Nigeria) achieved in few months preparation with little support.
The Queen of Emerald Nigeria was borne out of the organizers quest in tackling the surge of Cervical cancer, and also utilizing the beauty of a queen to help speak and stand for them. The journey wasn't as rosy as one might think it to be, they were a lot of scorns and disappointment on the way. He followed his heart and it paved way for a successful event.
The preliminary stages of Queen Of Emerald Nigeria started on a right note, as the maiden edition, one need not see perfection at its peak but with the way and manner the State Directors organized a befitting event, I dare say perfection was almost at its peak. There was about 300 entries as regards the preliminary stage and about 50 was selected carefully and judiciously for the grand event to hold in Lagos.
There was massive buzz and hypes on social media platforms about the event, the statistics and push was something one need marvel at, seeing to the fact that it's just the maiden event. The contestants were to hit camp on the 26th April, and stay through the main event scheduled for on the 1st May. It was some fun affair in camp as the girls interacted, networked, learnt new skills et al.
What better environment to host beauty queens and their families, friends and fans than the serene and conducive atmosphere the BESPOKE event centre Lekki, offered. It was a money back experience and the decorations (by 25th january Events & Decor ) and event packaging was out of this world.
Then came the start of the event, the hall was filled with people, tickets sells surged up. There were chants of names as regards who will take the day, The Organizer dorned in a sizzling Agbada attire,
with some blue stripe. The red carpet moment hosted people on different gorgeous attires….
Now, history has been made...
Emerald Crown has been bestowed on the head it best fits..
Queen of Emerald Nigeria beauty pageant & The Emerald Nigeria Award (TENA ) 2016 has
been officially established and they are set to enlighten the masses on the deadly disease - Cervical Cancer.
